Everyone, whether they admit it or not, has personal preferences and things that they’re looking for in Sedona homes that are neither practical, nor necessary. These are not necessarily bad things and can be as simple as wanting a fireplace in the living room, or looking for a home with a good sized garage for the do-it-yourself.
The problem begins; however, when these personal requirements begin to take precedence and blind home shoppers to the faults and negatives about a property. Sure, it may have a fireplace, but the kitchen may be just big enough to turn around in, and unsuitable for those that like to play chef in their spare time.
The key is to acknowledge these personal ‘buttons’, be aware of them, and to keep a balanced mind when shopping for your new Sedona property. Indulge yourself on some items, compromise on others, but most of all, make sure the roof over your head is stable, secure, and liveable.
